About the Business Leadership Award

The Business Leadership Award recognizes outstanding Chamber members for being a great employer that gives back to the community, invests in their facilities and employees, and has a positive history of job growth and retention.

What does this award mean to us?

We are excited and honored to be selected to receive this year’s Business Leadership Award. Being recognized by the Chamber for being an outstanding company is something we don’t take lightly. We believe in our people and are proud of the team and culture we have formed and can’t wait to see what the future brings.

What are you proud of?

We are proud of our team and the way everyone works together, encourages and helps each other.  Everyone genuinely cares about the other members of the team and we are all united in our commitment to the Koops’ family. Being an Employee Owned Company, we all take great pride in the work that we do; this helps us provide a great product to our customers and provides fulfilling work for our team.

How does your company invest/engage in our community?

We have been blessed as a company and with that comes the responsibility of stewardship.  It is important for us to give back to our community not only financially but also with our time and hard work.  We have several local organizations and charities that we support financially.  We also participate in service projects throughout the year.  We recently have worked with the Outdoor Discovery Center, Habitat for Humanity and The Good Samaritan Ministries on service projects and fundraisers.  It is great to see our team work together to help in the community that we call home.

How is Koops a leader in the automation industry?

Koops is a leader in the industry through constant innovation and early adoption of emerging technologies.  Additionally, we strive to continuously improve existing applications.  As we’ve grown, the talent base within our organization has expanded significantly and the breadth of solutions that we are able to provide has grown accordingly.  These experiences turn into new tools in our toolbox, and these new tools often come full circle and allow us to improve our existing applications.

About the Koops Team

Across all locations, Koops has approximately 200 employees and is heavily invested in co-ops and interns.  Within the last year, we have hired more than 35 people to make our team even stronger.  The vision for Koops’ future is bright, and we are planning on continuing to grow the team in the years to come.
