Robotic Bumper Grind Cell
Fully automated robotic bumper grind cell de-burs the saw cut ends of various sizes of steal bumpers. Automated in-feed and out-feed conveyors, as well as pneumatically actuated part positioning tooling, transfer the bumpers through the cell. The two 6-axis robots equipped with high speed de-burring tooling trace the inner and outer profiles of the beams as they pass through the cell in order to create a smooth burr-free bumper. Operator selects bumper profile through the pre-programmed HMI.
